Glucura is a digital health application (DiGA, a German-approved prescription digital therapeutic) for personalized blood sugar stabilization in type 2 diabetes. The app analyzes individual blood sugar responses and gives everyday-practical nutrition recommendations — available free on prescription in Germany, with no co-payment.
What was done
Design of the physical communication materials around the DiGA product:
- Product packaging — an elegant box in wine-red and cream with logo and claim “Enjoy life. Blood sugar stable.”
- Patient guide — a 40-page brochure with a therapy report, FAQ, success stories, and QR codes linking to the app
- Tissue box — promotional tissue box for doctors’ offices and trade shows, printed with app screenshots and key messages
- Brand rollout — applying the existing CI across all print and packaging formats
Approach
Medical products need to be regulatorily correct while still feeling inviting. The warm color palette (wine-red, sand, white) makes the brand tangible — far from the standard clinical look. Every medium was designed so patients feel welcomed, not lectured.
